What is the NAAPC?
The National Association for Alliance and Equity of People of Colour and the Global Majority (NAAPC) is a registered company in England and Wales, Company Number 16114654 with registration address 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX.
Who can become a Member of the NAAPC?
Membership of NAAPC is open to all UK residents age 18 and over who are of Black-Afro heritage, the Global Majority or who are invested in the struggles and progress of Afro-descendants, those who are Black, Brown or from the broader Global Majority.
Is NAAPC the same as Black Lives Matter?
No, the NAAPC is not Black Lives Matter but believes that Black Lives and Black Rights Matter, and is invested in the struggles of our Afro-ancestry and in obtaining authentic equalities, equity, reparations and in essential decolonization, education and the reclaiming and reframing of our narratives - past and present.
Is NAAPC affiliated to the NAAPC?
While the NAAPC takes its ethos, history, work and structure from the NAACP, it is not affiliated to that incredible organization.
Is NAAPC an employment trade Union?
NAAPC is a civil rights organization that will support with employment through affiliated trade unions. Please speak to your trade union if you have employment concerns and believe you may benefit from NAAPC support. For support outside of an affiliated trade union, the NAAPC will charge a fee.
How can I become an Affiliate or Partner?
We welcome affiliates and partners and ask that you get in touch through our Contact form.
Do I need to be a NAAPC member to receive help?
You will need to join the NAAPC or pay a fee for consultation and services; however, support and advocacy may be considered otherwise subject to NAAPC alignment and scope.
Can the NAAPC assist with an urgent need?
The NAAPC is not able to assist with urgent or emergency requirements and ask that you reach out to us as early as possible to allow your query to be considered.
Is the NAAPC politically affiliated?
No, the NAAPC is non-partisan but reserves the right to take political decisions and to campaign regarding political issues.
Can the NAAPC provide legal support?
No, the NAAPC does not currently provide legal support but may do so in future at our discretion.
